We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. Also bring anything you would like to make yourself comfortable, such as slippers, blankets, pillows, personal objects, art supplies, etc. Some participants like to bring a note pad to document their learnings, or a journal to explore personal insights.
Our workshops intentionally attend to the formal and informal sociometry (or group connection) of each workshop. By arriving 15 minutes or so early, you can nurture those informal connections and make new connections. Getting yourself connected to the other participants, and to the space is part of the enrichment of the experience.
Although psychodrama and sociometry workshops have a flow to it, they do not typically have an agenda. Psychodrama and sociometry philosophy reminds us that wholeness is found in connecting with the spontaneity of the moment. This spontaneity is attended to in all our workshops and groups. Psychodrama does however, have a certain flow to it, which includes warm-up to the group, the action phase and the sharing phase.
Each time a workshop is offered, the trainer(s) create a workshop plan, paying specific attention to the check in, warm-up and closure of the group. If you are curious about what the plan is for the workshop, please contact the trainer for more information, we will be happy to share.
Each workshop, we will explicitly go over a confidentiality contract within the group. Participants will be invited to share all their learnings and personal insights with whomever they wish, however, they cannot share who attended the workshop, nor anyone else’s story they witnessed in the workshop.
Online psychodrama is certainly different than in person psychodrama, however, you will experience much of the same format – a check in, a warm up, action and sharing. Participants are asked to agree to confidentiality, including having a private space to attend the online group. The only way to know if this would work for you is to attend one of our workshops!
Bursaries and Subsidies
To make the training as accessible as possible, subsidies may be available. If a participant needs financial support with their training, they can apply for a subsidy of up to 50% of the fee, to a maximum of 25 hours annually. Participants must apply in writing to the Workshop Facilitator, explaining their situation of financial hardship.
Students enrolled at an educational institution, such as a college or a university, who are working toward a diploma or degree are eligible for a 10% discount on all workshop fees for that year.
If a group of 3 or more participants register for a workshop together, they are eligible for a 10% reduction on the workshop fees.
Applicants can apply for only one of the reasons for subsidies for each year.
Subsidies must be applied for each time they are needed. If a subsidy is offered for one workshop, this does not automatically permit them to have a subsidy for others.

No, we will not share or sell your email. If you sign up for our newsletter, you will receive a maximum of 2 emails a month informing you of our upcoming workshops and events, or any news in the psychodrama world. This is a way of connecting with you in this technological world.
Individuals may become TCPSO trainees for a variety of reasons, including to expand their expertise in psychodrama and sociometry, work towards certification through the American Board of Directors of Psychodrama Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy, or to use the programme for personal growth.
The trainees can submit an application to the Training team for consideration. TCPSO trainees must have some post-secondary education in a human services field and must undertake to use psychodrama within the scope of their practice.
The admission package should include the following.
Resume and a cover letter outlining experience in their field of study and highlighting professional training and registration.
A letter to the training team outlining why the potential trainee wishes to train in psychodrama and sociometry, including any experience with the method the applicant has.
Training certificates or proof of training for a minimum of 10 hours of psychodrama training.
References or reference letters from 2 people.
A $100 application fee.
Once the admission package is received and it is determined that the trainee meets the program requirements, an admissions interview will be set up with at least one trainer to outline the program expectations and answer any questions the applicant has. The trainer(s) will bring the application and a summary of the interview to the training team for review and approval.
